Message from: Broomwood Primary School

This form has expired

It has been another busy time at Broomwood this week. Year 3 and 4 had Stoneage visitors in school learning all about the Stone Age. They looked at artefacts and even had a go at throwing a spear. Year 6 had lots of fun on their residential trip to Whitemoor Lakes, doing canoeing, archery and the leap of faith and Year 5 have had an adventure walking up Rivington Pike today.

We also held our first Forest School Toddler group on Thursday run by Mrs Powell. The children and parents had lots of fun in the Eco and our outdoor area and the children got to make their own stick man. Please see below for further information on how to book your toddler onto the next Thursday session.

Parking Issues

We have had a number of complaints from parents and residents regarding parking near the school and people being abusive when asked to move when they are parked in an unsafe manner or blocking roads or drives.

The advice we have been given from the police is for car licence plate numbers to be reported to the police if cars are causing an issues when parked.

We ask that all parents/carers park respectfully and are respectful to each other especially when there are children around.  Being respectful is a behaviour and a core value we teach and expect from our children.

Parents evening 4th and 5th October

Don't forget to book your appointments online. All parents and carers have been sent a link through email/text to book an appointment. The booking system will close on Friday evening.
